Blessed Solanus Casey (1870 – 1957), known as Solanus Casey, OFM Cap, was an American religious priest of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. He was revered for his great faith and abilities as a spiritual counselor, as well as his special Masses for the sick. His presence was highly sought-after and he was particularly renowned in Detroit, where he lived. He was beatified in 2017 and his memorial feast day is July 30th.
