Saint Justin Martyr

Saint Justin Martyr (100 – 165 AD) was an early Christian apologist, and was the interpreter of the theory of the Logos in the 2nd century. St Justin was baptized at the age of thirty. He used his skills as a philosopher to participate in debates. After winning one debate, the loser turned him over to authorities. Emperor Marcus Aurelius martyred him. St. Justin is the Patron Saint of Philosophers and Lectures. St Justin Martyr memorial feast day June 1st and April 14th.
