Saint Florian was an officer in the Roman army, Florian privately embraced Christianity. It is said that with a single pail of water he kept a town from burning to the ground. He is the patron of things associated with fire for this act. St. Florian is the Patron Saint for Fire Fighters. Saint Florian memorial feast day is May 4th.
