Elizabeth married a wealthy businessman and was mother to five children. Her husband’s business failed, and he soon passed away. Elizabeth established a school in Boston, Massachusetts, to educate her children. She also opened a Catholic girl’s school in Baltimore, Maryland. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is the Patron Saint for the Loss of a Parent or Child. Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton memorial feast day is January 4th.
