Saint Francis of Assisi

Saint Francis of Assisi is one of the most widely known and loved saints. He visited hospitals, preached, and served the ill while meeting many other saints. Nearly 90% of all stigmatists are female, but Francis is a stigmatist, one who receives marks of the wounds of Christ during his crucifixion. St Francis is the Patron Saint for Animals and Catholic Action. St Francis memorial feast day is October 4th.
