Our Lady of Sorrows/Mater Dolorosa

"Mater Dolorosa" is a Latin phrase meaning "Mother of Sorrows," referring to the Virgin Mary as a mourning mother, especially concerning the suffering of Jesus Christ. This title highlights her profound grief throughout her life, notably during the Passion. Also known as Our Lady of Sorrows, Our Lady of Dolours, and the Sorrowful Mother, she is commonly portrayed in a sorrowful state, often with tears and a heart pierced by seven swords, representing her intense. Additionally, Our Lady of Sorrows is the patron saint of Abuse, Heartbreak, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Malta, Seven Sorrows of Mary, Mississippi, Ronda, Cebu, Tanawan, and Bustos, Bulacan. Her Memorial Feast Day is celebrated on September 15th.
