Saint James the Greater

Saint James the Greater was one of the Twelve Apostles, James is the brother of Saint John the Evangelist. He was the first Apostle martyred by King Agrippa. An interesting theory about him is that he may be the cousin of Christ because Mary may be his aunt. St James the Greater is the Patron Saint for Veterinarians, against arthritis, against rheumatism, equestrians, furriers, tanners, and pharmacists. Saint James memorial feast day is July 25th.
