Saint Stanislaus of Krakow

Stanislaus, a nobleman of high regard, was ordained and educated in Poland. He eventually rose to the position of Bishop of Cracow, renowned for his eloquent sermons, wise counsel, and effective reforms. He was martyred for standing against King Boleslaus's injustices and is revered as a symbol of Polish nationhood. St Stanislaus of Krakow is honored as the Patron Saint for Poland, Broken Bones, with his memorial feast day falling on April 11th.
