Saint Dominic de Guzman

Dominic founded the Friars Preachers, later called the Dominicans, in the year 1215. There are tales that Dominic brought deserving people back to life, and he once met a beggar who did noble things for the Faith. The beggar was actually Saint Francis of Assisi. St Dominic de Guzman is the Patron Saint for Astronomy. Saint Dominic de Guzman Memorial Feast Day is August 8th.
