Saint Gemma Galgani
Saint Maria Gemma Umberta Pia Galgani (1878 – 1903) was an Italian mystic known as the Daughter of Passion for her devotion to imitating the sufferings of Christ. Despite her struggles with tuberculosis and deafness, Gemma Galgani was miraculously cured through prayer to Saint Gabriel Possenti. She also experienced the stigmata, the marks of Christ's wounds, and was tempted by the Devil on multiple occasions. Saint Gemma Galgani is the Patron Saint of Students, pharmacists, tuberculosis patients, love, hope, and spinal injury. Her feast day is celebrated on April 11 and by Passionists on May 16th.
