Saint Edith Stein

Known as Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, Edith was a Jewish child who later converted to Catholicism due to her doubts about Judaism. She, along with her sister, escaped to Holland during Hitler's rule but unfortunately, was captured and killed at Auschwitz. St. Edith Stein is recognized as the Patron Saint for Martyrs and those who have lost parents, and her memorial feast day falls on August 9th.
