Saint Albert the Great

A Dominican scientist, Albert dedicated himself to studying and lecturing the natural sciences. His work with geography, astronomy, and chemistry was advanced, but he was behind in the science of biology. He was long suspected as a wizard, but he escaped the Inquisition because he was Dominican. St. Albert the Great is the Patron Saint for Scientists and Philosophers. St Albert the Great memorial feast day is November 15th.
