Saint Alice
Saint Alice, also known as Saint Aleydis, entered the monastery of Cistercian at the age of seven. She contracted leprosy at a young age. The disease caused Alice intense suffering and eventually she because paralyzed and blind. She died in the year 1250, and Pope Pius X sanctioned devotion to her in 1907. St Alice is the patron saint of Blind and Paralyzed. Saint Alice memorial feast day is June 15th.
