Saint Walburga (c. 710–777/779) was an Anglo-Saxon Benedictine nun and missionary from a family of saints, including her uncle St. Boniface and brothers St. Willibald and St. Winibald. Born in England, she spent decades at Wimborne Abbey before joining the mission to Germania, where she became abbess of the double monastery at Heidenheim. Renowned for miracles, including calming a storm at sea, she is especially venerated for the healing oil that has flowed from her relics in Eichstätt since the 9th century.
