A Polish prince, Casimir was a failure in his father’s eyes. He refused to marry the daughter of an Emperor, swearing himself to celibacy. He died a young man of twenty-six from tuberculosis. St Casimir of Poland is the Patron Saint for Bachelors and Poland. Saint Casimir Memorial Feast Day is Mar 4th.
