Cecilia promised her virginity to God, but her parents married her anyway. On her wedding day, she played the organ and had her husband baptized. When his faith was learned, he was martyred. Cecilia buried her husband and was suffocated and beheaded for the act. St Cecilia is the patron saint for composers, musicians, throat and vocalists.
