Saint Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael, also called Archangel Michael, is considered to be the most powerful and influential of all of the angels in heaven by many, known as the leader of the heavenly hosts. His name, Michael, translates to "Who is like God?" and he is venerated as the patron saint of various professions and situations, such as battle, emergency medical technicians, Germany, grocery workers, Marines, paratroopers, those in danger at sea, police officers, radiologists, sailors, and those facing temptation. His feast day is celebrated on September 29th as a memorial to honor his courage and protection.
