Saint Eugene de Mazenod is son of a poor French aristocrat, Eugene and his family fled France during the Revolution. His parents constantly fought, and after the Revolution the two divorced, an uncommon act at that time. He established over twenty parishes. St. Eugene de Mazenod is the Patron Saint for Dysfunctional Families. St Eugene de Mazenod memorial feast day is May 21st.
