Saint Marie Magdalen Postel
Marie-Madeleine Postel, also known as Julie Françoise-Catherine Postel, was a French Catholic religious figure and the founder of the Sisters of Christian Schools. She was a devoted member of the Third Order of Saint Francis and worked as a schoolteacher after the French Revolution, providing education to approximately 300 children. Despite the risk to her own life, Postel used her previously closed school to shelter priests on the run. Her beatification took place in 1908, and she was later canonized by Pope Pius XI in 1925. St Marie Magdalen Postel is the Patron Saint of the Sisters of Christian Schools. Saint Marie Magdalen Postel memorial feast day is July 16th.
