Advent

Advent is a four-week season of preparation for the coming of Jesus on Christmas Day and the anticipation of His return. It begins the Sunday nearest November 30 and continues until December 24. A traditional centerpiece of the Christmas season, the Advent wreath is often accompanied by the lighting of candles on each of the four Sundays in Advent.
