Saint Sophia

Saint Sophia and her Daughters Faith, Hope, and Love were born in Italy. Their mother, a pious Christian widow, named them after the three Christian virtues and raised them to love the Lord Jesus Christ. The family did not hide their faith, openly confessing it before all. Saint Sophia, known as the Patron Saint of Wisdom, is renowned for her teachings and for speaking the truth, even when it leads to the death of her own loved ones. Faith, Hope, and Love serve as pure examples of defending one's faith regardless of age. Many students pray to Saint Sophia and her daughters for strength and courage to face persecution in their own lives. The Feast day of Saint Sophia is commemorated on August 1st and September 17th (Orthodox).
