The Catholic title of Our Lady of Kibeho, also known as Our Lady of Sorrows, is based on reported Marian apparitions in the 1980s by three adolescents in Kibeho, Rwanda: Alphonsine Mumureke, Nathalie Mukamazimpaka and Marie Claire Mukangango. The feast day of Our Lady of Kibeho is celebrated on November 28th as a memorial.
