Augustine, also known as St. Augustin or St. Austin was born in Tagaste, Numidia in North Africa. His mother was a Christian, but his father remained a pagan until late in life. He became Bishop of Hippo. The city of Saint Augustine, Florida, was established on his feast day and named for him. St. Augustine of Hippo is the Patron Saint for Brewers and Theologians. St Augustine memorial feast day is August 28th.
